Dan Ward Wedding Photographer Cornwall
Location: Sunny Cornwall, UK.
Tell us how you got into photography: I fell into it! I always loved tech and gadgets. Cameras were not so focused on, but I picked up my first DSLR and started shooting. I just loved it. I couldn’t put it down!
Define your photography style: I like to think of my work as artistic documentary. I tell stories of what’s happening exactly as I see it. I try to be as honest as possible and add my own artistic flare.
Describe your favorite photo: I have so many photos I just love, but my favorite photo has to be one I took of my girlfriend last year whilst we were holidaying in Venice. It’s nothing particularly special, or technical, but It takes me right back to that moment with her!
Tell us your most memorable photography story: I shoot weddings primarily. I once had a Vicar in a church refuse to let me take any photos! I tried to sneakily take some from the back out of the way to which point he stopped what he was saying and started shaking his head at me in front of everyone. Not a great moment!
Are you an Early bird or Night owl? Early! I used to be a night owl but found I actually got nothing done. Despite hating getting up early, I do triple the amount of work.
Who is your favorite photographer? I love Ross Harvey’s work! He is absolutely fab.
What is your favorite Mod product(s)? I love your straps – so colorful! Much nicer than the dull black ones that come with the camera.
What’s the one camera/camera accessories that you can’t live without? My 85mm 1.2L Lens. It’s my baby and never comes off my camera!
